hoffnung
Hoffnung means Hope in German. During the art residency at a temporary refugee centre in Berlin’s northern district Reinickendorf I was invited to capture its residents’ moments of hope. The photographs show new Berliners’ little and bigger joys.
The exhibition was first shown at a local bookstore-gallery Leselust (October - December 2016). Then it moved to a local family centre, also in Reinickendorf, Haus am See where it was shown from February to June 2017. In both locations the exhibitions initiated dialogue and events between local community and its new members.
